I was born on May 22, 2005, in Alzano Lombardo, in the province of Bergamo, and my passion for skiing began when I was very young, thanks to my father. At just three years old I put on skis for the first time, and as the years went by, I started developing competitively within the Radici Ski Club, where I experienced the first important moments of my career.
My professional journey began when I entered the Junior category: a decisive step that marked the start of serious, consistent and increasingly ambitious work. Over the years, I achieved several victories in the Italian championships — both in the Junior category and at the Criterium — results that motivated me to keep aiming higher. More recently, I’ve also managed to win numerous FIS races, confirming my progress.
Starting this year, 2025, I have joined the Italian national team, in the Europa Cup squad, after a two-year journey with my coach Andrea Testa. It’s an important step that has allowed me to make a significant leap in quality both athletically and mentally, as I now follow a professional training program designed to compete at the highest level.
Skiing takes up most of my days, but I also cultivate other passions that help me find balance and new motivation. I practice enduro, which lets me experience nature in a freer and more adventurous way, and I play padel, a sport that helps me maintain good physical and mental condition.
My goal is clear: I want to compete with the best in the world in the most prestigious races — the World Cup, the World Championships and the Olympics — with the ambition, one day, of being able to win them.
I was born and raised in Vilnius, Lithuania. I discovered the world of skiing late, around the age of 8, right in Bormio, where I will compete in my next Olympics in 2026.
At the age of 9, I moved to Andermatt in Switzerland, where I began training with the local ski club. Over time, I became passionate about skiing and decided to continue my path at the Bachmann Ski College in Tarvisio until I was 17.
In 2017, I had a dream in mind: to reach the World Cup, and I realized that my journey had to pass through Bormio again—this time with the Ski Racing Camp run by Corrado Castoldi and Andrea Testa. Their guidance, combined with my hard work, led me to score my first World Cup points in Kranjska Gora in 2022 at the age of 23.
For the past two seasons, I’ve been part of a private team, Global Racing, which brings together athletes from smaller national teams and provides a high-level structure to compete in the ski World Cup. In recent years, I achieved 23rd place in Alta Badia and 28th in Aspen in the World Cup, and I won the European Cup in Turnau last year, finishing in the top 10 ten times in the European Cup giant slalom over the past two seasons.
Benjamin Alliod is an athlete of the Italian National Alpine Ski Team, specializing in the speed disciplines of Super-G and Downhill. Born in Aosta and raised among the mountains of the Aosta Valley, he discovered skiing at a very young age, developing a strong passion for speed and for the technical precision required in the speed events.
Throughout his career, he has achieved a podium in the European Cup, along with several Top 5 and Top 10 finishes, results that earned him a solid position among the most promising Italian speed specialists. In the World Cup, he has continued to improve, claiming last season’s best results with a 28th place in Wengen and an impressive 16th place in Kvitfjell, two of the most demanding and prestigious tracks on the circuit.
Benjamin speaks four languages — Italian, French, English, and German — a skill that reflects his international background and his ability to adapt seamlessly to the global environment of the World Cup tour.
Off the slopes, Benjamin is passionate about golf, tennis, road cycling, and mountain biking. Alongside his athletic career, he is also pursuing a degree in Sports Science through an online university, aiming to deepen his knowledge of athletic training and sports performance.
Driven and ambitious, Benjamin is working hard toward his short-term goals: establishing himself consistently within the Top 10 in the World Cup and earning qualification for the Olympic Games, continuing to grow both as an athlete and as a person.
